PBIS: Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
A proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional and academic success.
PBIS is a pyramid model for promoting social and emotional
development through nurturing and responsive relationships, high quality
supportive environments, targeted social emotional supports and
intensive interventions. PBIS is a school wide initiative implemented
throughout the Decorah Community School District.

*Set clear rules and expectations and provide logical consequences
